When saying yes to the dress, we keep a thousand other things in mind too. We think of the way the dress will look on our body, but also about the pictures. We think about beauty vs. comfort and whether we will be able to dance in it. Then of course we start thinking about the shoes, the veil and all the extra accessories we need to complete the picture.

Well… all of this is needed, but be careful not to allow it to overwhelm you. Make a list of what aspects of these items are important to you and as you do your shopping tick yes or no, weighing the positive and negative points UP against each other.

So, what I mean is a short list like:

  • Comfortable
  • Pretty
  • Compliments my body type
  • Reusable
  • Practical
  • What I really like
  • Suitable for dancing

Et cetera, et cetera and sooner than later you will find yourself easily making a decision. Take it from me; Your pictures might be pretty if you pick the dress shoes and veil you love but if they’re not comfortable and practical for the setting, you’re going with your memories will be of pain and regret instead of love and joy.

So here’s to taking a step back and evaluating the full picture.
