Rent To Own is offered through Rent A Website, our separate rental brand. Your website is designed and built by the same Bunnypants team behind our custom work. You pay an activation fee and 24 monthly instalments, and then ownership transfers to you.
From R800 a month plus a R3 500 once-off activation fee, with no VAT added. Ownership transfers after the 24-month term and agreed payments.

We meet a lot of businesses that are ready for more than a brochure website. They want to sell online, show a full product range or take quote requests, and they want to own what they're paying for. A full custom build is often a big first invoice for them.
We didn't want to discount our studio work to fit, so we packaged it differently under Rent A Website. Rent To Own works from a defined scope and a proven WordPress framework, and the build is paid off over 24 months. The design, the build and the SEO setup are still done by trained people.
We use AI build tools to work faster, without apology. A designer directs every website, so it looks like your business and not a template.

Specialist systems such as appointment booking, events with payments, subscriptions, gift cards, deposits, product configurators, a CRM, property listings and a Nightsbridge integration. Each one is licensed software with a monthly fee plus a yearly Premium License Activation Fee, and those charges continue after you own the website. Most websites don't need them.
Monthly SEO
Owning a website is good. Being found is better.
Basic on-page SEO setup is included. Optional monthly SEO for Rent To Own runs from Super Lite at R2 160/mo (one keyword or topic, one location) to Expansion at R16 740/mo. It's handled by the same specialists behind our AI SEO services, and it carries on after ownership if you keep it. Nobody can honestly guarantee rankings, and we don't.

Once the term and payments are complete, ownership transfers to you and the build fee falls away. Care+ is recommended at R450/mo for updates, backups and security checks. It's optional, but a website still needs looking after, so arrange suitable care if you decline it.
Any services you keep, such as SEO, email, domains, extra storage and advanced modules, continue at their own rates. Premium licence fees renew yearly.

How is Rent To Own different from Rent Only?
Rent To Own is designed for ownership: once you complete the 24-month term and agreed payments, the website becomes yours. Rent Only stays a managed rental service and ownership never transfers. Rent To Own also covers catalogues, quote carts and online shops, and gives you access to manage your own content.
Why not just get a custom Bunnypants website?
If you can pay for the build upfront, we'd recommend it. You get more design time, a scope built around your business and ownership from launch day. Rent To Own is for businesses that want ownership but need to spread the cost over 24 months.
When exactly do I own the website?
After you complete the 24-month term and agreed payments. Your written quote and agreement set out the handover and any ongoing services. Third-party premium licences stay subject to their own licence terms and renewal fees.
Is VAT added to Rent To Own prices?
No. Rent A Website is billed through our sister company, BP Online Solutions (Pty) Ltd, which isn't VAT registered. If your business isn't VAT registered either, you can't claim VAT back, so this is a real saving.
What do the system packages include?
Catalogue, Cart to Quote and eCommerce websites include a WordPress build with Editor and Shop Manager access, five pages (three content and two legal), nine products with photo optimisation, product categories and filtering, 2GB hosting, Care+, mobile-friendly design, basic on-page SEO setup, one design concept, one design and one content revision round, and recorded shop-management training.
Can I update the website myself?
Static Websites include recorded training on managing the blog. Catalogue, Cart to Quote and eCommerce websites include WordPress Editor and Shop Manager access with recorded shop-management training. Access and handover are confirmed in your package agreement. If you'd rather we made the changes, monthly content changes are available in 30-minute blocks.
What will I pay after 24 months?
The build fee falls away. Care+ is recommended at R450/mo, and any services you keep, such as SEO, email hosting, domain renewals, extra storage and advanced modules, continue at their own rates. The planner's "After 24 months" summary shows the total for your selections.
Do advanced modules still cost money once I own the website?
Yes. Ownership doesn't remove licence charges. Monthly fees for advanced modules you keep continue, and their Premium License Activation Fees renew yearly. Talk to us before a renewal if you want to remove or replace a module.
What if I want to cancel early or change the scope?
Talk to our team first. We review your agreement and quote any changes before work starts. Ownership doesn't transfer before the agreed term and payments are complete, and early cancellation and any settlement are handled under your agreement.
Is my domain included?
Domain registration and renewal are optional modules. You can use a domain you already own, or add a domain module. Registration details, ownership and handover are confirmed in your written agreement.
