
Bunnypants Studio is looking for a Graphic Designer. The position is Semi-Remote and on a contract basis that will convert to a permanent position within the company at a later stage.
Our available position also offers targeted training that aligns with the current and future needs of Bunnypants. In other words the candidate will receive real-world application training, working on real projects while learning the full scope of the trade, thus a certain amount of knowledge and education is necessary when applying for this Graphic Design position, but the candidate will be trained to become fully proficient and eventually specialist in this field.
Note, our head office is in the Vaal Triangle, thus candidates will need to be able to travel to the area at certain stages as the position is semi-remote.

- Technical Interest & Basic Knowledge

Included to this position is the awareness of how design choices can impact a website’s search engine ranking. Knowledge of keywords, meta tags, and SEO-friendly content creation is crucial. Additionally, a basic understanding of Google Analytics and AdWords can be helpful.

- Semi Remote Support & Working Environment.
Candidate will need to be able to work semi remotely. Time management and self-discipline is very important. As we work with a strict workflow under the managment of a project planner, and we know exactly how long different design projects should take, holding our designers accountable for the hours they are paid for.

TASKS
The following tasks will eventually be everyday tasks for this position and focused training will be given to the candidate in the “learnership” period.
- Understanding Project Requirements
As a Graphic Designer at Bunnypants, you will start by comprehending the needs of clients by receiving your brief from the Project Planner, to ensure that their designs meet the project’s objectives. This involves reading briefs, doing research, generating reference artwork and asking questions to clarify goals.
- Concept Development
Generate and conceptualize visual ideas that suit the project’s purpose
- Design Creation
Using specialized graphic design software like Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), create and edit visual elements, including images, typography, and layouts, ensuring that the design communicates the desired message.
- Collaboration and Feedback
Be able to work closely with other team members, including other designers, senior designers and project manager, to receive internal feedback, and make necessary revisions before any designs will be presented to clients.
- Ensuring Brand Consistency
Understanding and ensuring that all visual elements adhere to existing brand guidelines or help in developing new branding guidelines, maintaining consistency across various media.
- Preparing and Finalising Designs
After final sign-off, ensure that the files are correctly formatted for their intended use, whether for print or digital media, as this is the most important process of all.
- Staying Updated with Industry Trends
Keeping up-to-date with graphic design trends, techniques, and technology is crucial for creating relevant and modern designs. Continuous learning through workshops, courses, and self-study is often part of the job.
- Time and Resource Management
Managing time efficiently to meet deadlines and budget constraints is a key responsibility. Be able to juggle multiple projects at once and knowhing how to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Archive and File Management
Properly archiving completed projects and organizing design assets for easy access and future reference is also an essential part of the job. This will have to be done according to company policy, and files may never be shared with anyone outside the staff or management of Bunnypants Graphic & Web Design Studio.
- Website Design Layouts
As this position also includes the design of Website layouts and pages, some technical tasks is also of importance to have knowledge of.
The Candidate will be trained inhouse to furter build and develp websites should this skill lack with application of this position. Salary will be structured accordingly.

REQUIREMENTS
Salary and compensation will be discussed in Interview meeting and will be based on Candidates experience.
Candidate must at least have a grade 12 education.
Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Graphic Design, Web Design, Online Marketing or something relevant to the Design (IT and Marketing industry) will be a bonus.
Workplace experience & potential to grow is considered important factors.
Experience in working with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and WordPress.
Teachable & Willingness to Learn.
Good communication skills n both English and Afrikaans.
Have a passion for the industry.
Have experience with Online Meetups & tools, like Zoom, MS Teams, Google Chat
Have experience with Remote Tools, like Anydesk & Teamviewer.
Be able to work alone and be self-disciplined.

Candidate must be willing to learn, adabt and apply to the procedure, knowledge and skills of Bunnypants as being a respective and experienced business in the industry for 20 years!
