Bunnypants Studio is looking for a Technical Assistant. The position is Semi Remote and on contract basis that will convert to a permanent position within the company at a later stage.

Our available position also offers targeted training that aligns with the current and future needs of Bunnypants. In other words the candidate will receive real-world application training, working on real projects while learning the full scope of the trade, thus a certain basis amount of knowledge and education is necessary when applying for this Technical Assistant position, but the candidate will be trained to become fully proficient and eventually specialist in this field.

Note, our head office is in the Vaal Triangle, thus candidates will need to be able to travel to the area at certain stages as the position is semi remote.

Candidate will need to be able to work semi remotely. Time management and self-discipline is very important.

 

TASKS

The following tasks will eventually be everyday tasks for this position and focused training will be given to the candidate in the “learnership” period.

 

  • Website Testing:

Conducting tests for usability and functionality, identifying, and reporting issues, and ensuring cross-browser compatibility.

  • SEO Optimization:

Assisting in optimizing web pages for search engines, including keyword research, meta tag creation, and ensuring SEO-friendly content.

  • Content Management:

Assisting in updating and managing website content through Content Management Systems (CMS) like WordPress.

  • Content Creation

Creating web & media content with specialised tools.

  • Technical Support:

Providing technical support to team members and clients, troubleshooting website & domain issues.

  • Collaborating with Team Members:

Working closely with web designers to ensure smooth project execution.

  • Maintaining and Updating Websites:

Regularly updating websites to include new features, fixing bugs, and ensuring up-to-date security measures.

  • Research and Development:

Staying informed about new web technologies and design trends and suggesting improvements or updates.

  • Popia Compliancy Implementation

Ensuring adherence to Popia Compliancy Legal requirements.

  • Backup & Restores

 Backup WordPress websites and restore backups.

  • Plugin Updates

  Download, install and update WordPress plugins.

  • Adding maintenance & security to websites

 Implementing & Monitoring WordPress security.

  • Website WordPress Installs

Install & configure new WordPress instances on domains.

  • Domain Registration

Register new domains, as well as transferring domains names in and out.

  • Emails Account Registration

Create new email accounts & assist with remote setup and configuration.

  • Social Media posts

Post media posts & monitor campaigns on Social Media.

  • Google Business Profile Management

Setup & maintain Google Business Pages.

  • Google Analytics, Ads & Insights Management

Setup of Google’s monitoring and marketing tools. Understanding & monitoring statistics.

  • Video Editing & Streaming

Basic Video editing and uploading of videos to YouTube & Vimeo.

  • LMS & Other System Support.

Assisting, uploading & support with Online Learning Systems, and other website systems.

  • eCommerce Support.

Assisting, uploading & support with eCommerce platforms.

  • Graphic Design Support.

Saving files in print and other formats. Assisting in design changes for web or print media.

  • Client Communication on a Technical Level.

Communicating and explaining certain technical terms to clients when needed. Also sitting in on online & offline meetings conveying technical functionality to Project managers or White Labelers.

 

REQUIREMENTS

Salary and compensation will be discussed in Interview meeting and will be based on Candidates experience.

 

Candidate must at least have a grade 12 education.

Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Online Marketing or Project Management (or something relevant to the Design, IT and Marketing industry) will be a bonus.

Workplace experience & potential to grow is considered important factors.

Experience in working with WordPress.

Understanding of Email Setup, Domain Hosting.

Teachable & Willingness to Learn.

Good communication skills n both English and Afrikaans.

Have a passion for the industry.

Be able to explain technical applications and implementation of it.

Have experience with Online Meetups & tools, like Zoom, MS Teams, Google Chat

Have experience with Remote Tools, like Anydesk & Teamviewer.

Be able to work alone and be self-disciplined.

Strictly keep to deadlines.

Organise, Store and Sort of Digital Information.

Good people skills and patience.

Passionate to learn more of the industry.

Have excellent internet connectivity and backup internet solution as position is semi remote.

Have reliable power connectivity and backup power solution as position is semi remote.

Be able to easily adapt to remote work in different locations and meeting spaces.

Be able to work overtime, when needed and manage time excellent.

Candidate will work closely to senior staff of Bunnypants.

Be able to adapt quickly to new environment & technology.

Candidate must have a clear understanding of AI and its role in the Industry going forward.

Candidate must be able to work under high pressure and demanding timelines.
