Depending on the lucky man, you might need to be more or less involved in the choice of attire for him. One thing you can be sure of is that it’s loads of fun taking pictures of those do’s and don’ts outfits, maybe keeping them as an icebreaker on the wedding or bachelors party.

Obviously, if you’re going to have a formal wedding, a jean and checkered shirt won’t make the cut… and for a cowboy themed wedding; slacks and a bow tie will stand out- but not in the way you would like.

The best advice I can give is if the two of you go to the shops with an idea of what you have in mind, telling each other about what you like and don’t like; Taking in account what you think can work and what you think won’t work. All the long keeping an open mind towards personal style, preferences and what will complement your wedding day the best.

Try choosing a few options of suits, shirts and shoes that could work and then leave it UP to the groom to make the final call. Remember, we all want that perfect wedding with instagramable pictures, but it’s not worth putting an end to the marriage before it even started, all because of an outfit you’ll probably only wear once.
