Jean Lucas Kitchen is a new business in the Western Cape. Their business is described as quant, bistro with flair providing authentic South African food.
They know that quality food adds value to any gathering and is a service rarely done successfully. For Jean Lucs Kitchen, it’s not just about the taste of the food, but also the way it is presented. That’s why they decorate the plates with gels and purees to bring the whole dish together. After all we indulge with all our senses when eating.
For the design of their logo, we started with a clean-cut design that incorporated their iconic tagline; “Cooking with love provides food for the soul.” The colours used were charcoal, grey, white with a dark wood interior like in their restaurant and cocktail bar.
The feeling we needed to convey in the final design was quality with flair and ‘hominess’. The logo itself needed to be bold and we matched it with the whimsical use of a chef’s hat to complete the design. There is a certain level of satisfaction when a design like this comes together.
